Teller County arrests for fraud, DUI, assault

A number of people in Teller County are facing a variety of criminal charges, according to an online report from the Courier View.

Among those recently arrested is a 45-year-old Colorado Springs woman on two warrants, including one that charges her with failing to comply on a charge of driving without a license. The second warrant accuses her of failure to comply on an original charge of fraud by check.

A 21-year-old Woodland Park man was arrested on a charge of driving under restraint, which means his driver’s license has been revoked or suspended. He was also charged with hit and run, careless driving and failure to notify police of an accident.

A 42-year-old Oregon man was also arrested in Teller County. He faces accusations of third degree assault, domestic violence and harassment.

A man from Fountain, arrested in mid-December, likewise faces a third degree assault charge.

Bond was set at $3,000 for a 23-year-old Woodland Park man arrested on a warrant charging him with a protection order violation as well as harassment.

A 23-year-old Colorado Springs man was taken into custody and then released after being charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Two 18-year-olds, one from Cripple Creek and the other from Sedalia, were arrested for underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

Two people from Colorado Springs, one 33 and the other 39, were both charged with driving while ability impaired.

Bond was set at $400 for a Colorado Springs man, 20, who was arrested for failing to appear in court on charges of speeding, expired license plates, unregistered vehicle and failure to display proof of insurance. He had a second warrant for him as well, this one charging him with failing to appear for a DUI charge, and a third warrant charged with failing to appear in court for failing to display proof of insurance as well as failure to yield the right of way.
