Colorado woman charged with another teen sex assault

A 38-year-old woman who lives about 125 miles north of Colorado Springs has been accused by police of sexually abusing two teenagers.

She was initially taken into custody on charges that she had oral sex with a 14-year-old boy who was visiting her daughter at their Greeley home earlier this year. She was placed in the Weld County Jail and released on bond, but then arrested once again for sexual assault after a 16-year-old boy came forward to claim that she had engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with him.

The 16-year-old claimed that two incidents occurred. In the first, in May, he stated, the woman placed him in a car in a park and then she and he kissed and sexually fondled one another. He said that the second incident occurred in June in the basement of her home, and culminated in a daughter of the arrestee walking in on the two of them in a compromising position simulating a sexual act.

Both of the boys making the accusations are acquaintances of the woman’s daughter. Police said they were also friends with each other and played on the basketball teams at University High School.

The defendant previously did volunteer work at the high school. She is a homemaker and does not work outside the home.

At her court hearing following the second arrest, her attorney stated that she asserts her innocence on all charges and will vigorously defend herself against them. The trial judge order her required bond set at $50,000, double the amount required after her initial arrest, and ordered her not to have any interaction with people under the age of 18. He included her seven-year-old and 13-year-old daughters in that restriction.
